Saptagiri Express is a romantic comedy entertainer directed by Arun Pawar and produced by Dr. K. Ravi Kirane under Sai Celluloid Cinematic Creations Banner with music composed by Bulganin.[1] The film marks actor and comedian Sapthagiri's first hero role.[2] Sapthagiri also wrote the film, which is an adaptation of the Tamil film Thirudan Police,[3] which will have him in the role of a constable.[2]
The film was initially titled Katuma Rayuda, which was changed after Pawar and Sapthagiri learned that Pawan Kalyan was directing a film by the same name.[4]Filming for Saptagiri Express concluded around the beginning of October 2016 and has a projected release date of November of the same year.[3][5]

Shivaji Rao Gaekwad (born 12 December 1950), known by his mononymous stage name Rajinikanth, is an Indian film actor who works primarily in Tamil cinema. He began acting in plays while working in the Bangalore Transport Service as a bus conductor. In 1973, he joined the Madras Film Institute to pursue a diploma in acting. Following his debut in K. Balachander's Tamil drama Apoorva Raagangal (1975), his acting career commenced with a brief phase of portraying antagonistic characters in Tamil films.

After earning ₹26 crore (equivalent to ₹55 crore or US$8.2 million in 2016) for his role in Sivaji (2007), he was the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan at the time. While working in other regional film industries of India, Rajinikanth has also appeared in the cinemas of other nations, including the American film Bloodstone (1988). As of 2014, Rajinikanth has won six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards—four Best Actor Awards and two Special Awards for Best Actor—and a Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award. In addition to acting, he has also worked as a producer and screenwriter. Apart from his film career, he is also a philanthropist, spiritualist, and serves as an influence in Dravidian politics.

Arijit Singh (born 25 April 1987)[1] is an Indian playback singer and a music programmer from West Bengal. Born in JiaganjMurshidabadWest Bengal, his career began upon participating in the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005), in which he lost at the finals. After winning another reality show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil, Singh built a recording setup of his own, beginning his journey with music programming. Vaani Kapoor (born 23 August 1988) is an Indian actress and model.[2][3] Born in Delhi, Kapoor obtained a bachelor's degree in Tourism studies from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, she took an internship with the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts. After the end of the internship, she worked as a model under the Elite Model Management. It is an official remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil film OK Kanmani starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, portraying a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai with Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson play supporting roles as an older couple in the film, portraying the younger couple's landlords. The first look was released on 29 February 2016. Principal photography commenced in March 2016.[2] The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 13 January 2017.[3] The filming has been officially wrapped up on 29 May 2016,[4] with actress Shraddha Kapoor sharing a photo from the film’s set.[5]The official trailer was released on 12 December 2016.
