Margarita with a Straw (also known as Choone Chali Aasman in the Indian market) is a 2014 Indian drama film directed by Shonali Bose. It stars Kalki Koechlin, who plays Laila, a teenager with cerebral palsy.[3][4][5] RevathySayani Gupta, and William Moseley play supporting roles. The movie talks about struggle with the normal activities in her life. Margarita with a Straw was one of the five projects selected for the Work In Progress Lab of Film Bazaar 2013.[6][7]


The film made its world premiere on 8 September 2014 as part of the Contemporary World Cinema Programme at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). It went on to be screened at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, BFI London Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) and Istanbul Film Festival.[8][9][10][11] It was released in India on 17 April 2015.[12]

Mohabbatein English: Love Stories) is a 2000 Indian musical romantic drama film directed by Aditya Chopra. It was Chopra's second directorial venture after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and was filmed at India and the United Kingdom. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in pivotal roles, along with six young debutantes. Aishwarya Rai appeared in flashbacks as Khan's lover. The film's soundtrack was composed by Jatin-Lalit, while the lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. The film is notable for being the first time that Bachchan and Khan appeared on-screen together.
The film went on to do well both critically and commercially. It was the second highest Bollywood grosser of 2000, after Rakesh Roshan's Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai.[2] It also won several awards including the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, for Khan and Bachchan respectively.

No One Killed Jessica is a 2011 Indian biographical thriller film starring Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan, produced by UTV Spotboy and directed by Rajkumar Gupta. This film is based on the Jessica Lal murder case.
The score was composed by Amit Trivedi, who worked on the soundtrack for Dev D (2009).[4][5] The character of Jessica’s older sister, Sabrina Lal, is played by Vidya Balan, and the character of the news reporter following the story is played by Rani Mukerji.[6]Upon release, the film garnered positive critical reviews and enjoyed a successful outing at the box office.[7]
No One Killed Jessica received four nominations at the 57th Filmfare Awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress; it won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Rani Mukerji's performance.

Chak De! India (English: Go For it! India[2] or Go! India[3]) is a 2007 Indian sports film, directed by Shimit Amin and Rob Miller (sports scenes),[4][5] produced by Aditya Chopra, with music by Salim–Sulaiman and a screenplay by Jaideep Sahni. It explores religious bigotry, the legacy of the partition of India, ethnic and regional prejudice and sexism in contemporary India in a fictional story about the Indian women's national field-hockey team which was inspired by the team's win at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. The film stars Shahrukh Khan as Kabir Khan, former captain of the Indian men's national field-hockey team. After a disastrous loss to Pakistan, Khan is ostracized from the sport and he and his mother are driven from the family home by angry neighbors. Seven years later, to redeem himself, Khan becomes the coach of the Indian national women's hockey team and aims to turn its sixteen contentious players into a championship unit.


Chak De! India won a number of awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. On 30 August 2007, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences requested a copy of the film's script for a place in its Margaret Herrick Library.[6][7] When the Indian Hockey Federation was reorganised in April 2008, former player Aslam Sher Khan said that he wanted "to create a 'Chak De' effect" in Indian hockey.[8] The film was screened in New Delhi on August 17, 2016, as part of the week long Independence Day Film Festival. The festival was jointly presented by the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals and Ministry of Defense, commemorating India's 70th Independence Day.[9][10]
