Newton is a 2017 Indian black comedy drama film co-written and directed by Amit V. Masurkar.[3][4] The film stars National Award-winning Rajkummar RaoPankaj TripathiAnjali Patil and Raghubir Yadav.
The film is produced by Manish Mundra under Drishyam Films, known for the 2015 film Masaan, and the film is Amit Masurkar’s second feature after his debut film,[5] Sulemani Keeda in 2013.[6]
Newton had its world premiere in the Forum section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, and is set to have its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival where it screens in the International Narrative Competition section. It was selected as the Indian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards.[7][8] At the conceptual level, the movie was reported to be similar to the 2001 Iranian movie Secret Ballot in its plot, backdrop and characterization but totally different in its tone and the treatment.[9] It is a huge success film of Rajkumar rao in 2017.

Begum Jaan is 2017 Indian Hindi period drama film. It is written and directed by National Film Award-winning director Srijit Mukherji and produced by Mukesh BhattVishesh Bhatt and Play Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Sakshi Bhatt and Shree Venkatesh Films with executive producer Kumkum Saigal. The cinematography is done by Gopi Bhagat. Lyrics, additional screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Kausar Munir and Rahat Indori.
The film was released on April 14, 2017.[1]Vidya Balan plays the lead role of a brothel's madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1948. It is Hindi remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini (2015).

NH10 is a 2015 Indian thriller film directed by Navdeep Singh. It stars Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam in lead roles, and marks the production debut of Sharma. The film is co-produced by Phantom Films and Eros International. It tells the story of a young couple whose road trip goes awry after an encounter with a group of violent criminals. Part of the story is loosely adapted on 2007 Manoj-Babli honour killing case. The film's title refers to the 403 km long National Highway 10 in India.
NH10 released theatrically on 13 March 2015. The film and Sharma's performance garnered critical acclaim, and the film emerged as a sleeper hit.[4][5][6] Some critics consider it the most violent Hindi-language movie in the 2010s. Sharma gained a nomination in 2016 Filmfare for Best Actress.

Amitabh Harivansh Rai Shrivastava Bachchan(IPA: [əmɪˈtaːbʱ ˈbətʃːən]; born 11 October 1942) is an Indian film actor. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s for movies like Zanjeer and Deewaar, and was dubbed India's first "angry young man" for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Referred to as the "Shahenshah of Bollywood", "Star of the Millennium" or "Big B",[3][4][5][6]he has since appeared in over 190 Indian films in a career spanning almost five decades.[7][8] Bachchan is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema.[9][10][11][12][13] So total was his dominance on the movie scene in the 1970s and 1980s that the French director François Truffaut called him a "one-man industry."[14][15]
Bachchan has won numerous accolades in his career, including four National Film Awards as Best Actor and many awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies. He has won fifteen Filmfare Awards and is the most nominated performer in any major acting category at Filmfare, with 41 nominations overall. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, film producer and television presenter. Manoj Bajpayee (born 23 April 1969), also credited as Manoj Bajpai, is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Hindi cinema and has also done Telugu and Tamil language films. He is the recipient of two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards.
Born in Belwa, a small village in Narkatiaganj, Bihar, Bajpayee aspired to become an actor since childhood. He relocated to Delhi at the age of seventeen, and applied for the National School of Drama, only to be rejected four times. He continued to do theatre while studying in college. Bajpayee made his feature film debut with a one-minute role in Drohkaal (1994), and a minor role of a dacoit in Shekhar Kapur's Bandit Queen (1994). After a few unnoticed roles, he played the gangster Bhiku Mhatre in Ram Gopal Varma's 1998 crime drama Satya, which proved to be a breakthrough. Bajpayee received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for the film. He then acted in films such as Kaun (1999) and Shool (1999). For the latter, he won his second Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. Bajpayee further played the role of a prince with two wives in Zubeidaa (2001), a serial killer in Aks (2001) and a hitchhiker-turned-psychopath killer in Road(2002).
Bajpayee won the Special Jury National Award for Pinjar (2003). This was followed by a series of brief, unnoticed roles in films that failed to propel his career forward. He then played a greedy politician in the political thriller Raajneeti (2010), which was well received. In 2012, Bajpayee essayed the role of Sardar Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur. His next roles were of a naxalite in Chakravyuh (2012), and a CBI officer in Special 26 (2013). In 2016, he portrayed professor Ramchandra Siras, in Hansal Mehta's biographical drama Aligarh, for which he won his third Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.

Udta Punjab (English: "Punjab Flying High") is a 2016 Indian crime drama film co-written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey. It is loosely based on and revolves around the drug abuse by the youth population in the Indian state of Punjab and the various conspiracies surrounding it. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures, in association with Anurag Kashyap's production house Phantom Films, it features an ensemble cast consisting of Shahid KapoorKareena KapoorAlia Bhatt and, Diljit Dosanjh.[4][5]
On 4 June 2016, the Central Board of Film Certification sought a stay on the film's release citing that the themes dealt with in the film were too vulgar for the general audience. As a result, the producers were directed to make a total of 89 cuts in the film. However, on 13 June 2016, the Bombay High Court struck down the stay and gave permission for the film's national release, albeit with a single cut in the screenplay.[6] The film was released worldwide on 17 June 2016.[7] Made on a budget of 400 million (US$5.9 million), Udta Punjab has earned approximately 997 million (US$15 million) worldwide.[3] At the 62nd Filmfare Awards, the film won four awards, including Best Actress (Bhatt) and Critics Award for Best Actor (Shahid Kapoor).[8]
