Begum Jaan

Begum Jaan is a 2017 Indian Hindi period drama film. It is written and directed by National Film Award-winning director Srijit Mukherji and produced by Mukesh BhattVishesh Bhatt and Play Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Sakshi Bhatt and Shree Venkatesh Films with executive producer Kumkum Saigal. The cinematography is done by Gopi Bhagat. Lyrics, additional screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Kausar Munir and Rahat Indori.
The film was released on April 14, 2017.[3]Vidya Balan plays the lead role of a brothel's madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1948. It is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Bengali film Rajkahini (2015).

Pallavi was born in Perth, Australia [2][3][4] to Dr. Hema Sharda (Director of South Asian Relations at the University of Western Australia), and Dr. Nalin Kant Sharda (Professor of Computer Science at Victoria University).[6][7][8]Her parents are from Delhi, her father is Punjabi.[9] Both her parents are IIT alumni and have PhDs in science and engineering.[10] They migrated to Australia in the 1980s before she was born.[11] Sharda came to Melbourne as a toddler where she grew up in the outer north-western suburbs.[12] She went to school at Lowther Hall in Essendon where she obtained an academic scholarship [12] and commenced her LLB and BA (Media & Communications) & Diploma in Modern Languages (French) at the University of Melbourne, at the age of 16 and graduated with honours.[13] Sharda shifted base from Melbourne to Mumbai in 2010.[14]
